LC Method translations and transfers: Do's & Don'ts
Tuesday, 24th January, 2023, 03:00 PM - 04:00 PM CET.
Do you want to achieve the same chromatography in a shorter timeframe? Ever wondered why your method looks different on a different LC system even though you did everything exactly the same? This webinar introduces the analyst to isocratic and gradient method translations. This will include adjusting column dimensions (eg. scaling a method up or down), which can be used to increase productivity or move from analytical to prep; moving between different instruments (eg. transferring a method between sites) and modifying particle platforms (eg. between fully porous and solid-core silica particles). We discuss both theory, and practical examples for successful translation and common reasons for failed method translations or transfers. The use of a free Excel based tool for automatically performing the calculations is also highlighted.
